Big Bend, Texas

Did a 42 mile ride across Big Bend with Mickey and Gene. Very enjoyable. There are absolutely no birds in this park, however, contrary to popular tales. It is very dry. Seems they’ve been in a prolonged drought.

Enjoyed the day with the Odoms and ate very well. Gaining weight! Ugh.

Tomorrow is an 80 mile day with no services or water. It’s a steady elevation gain as well. Expected to be hot. Hope we can carry enough water.
